Manufactured in our production facility in Beach City, Ohio, the Perma−Straight I "wide flange" joists combined with LVL beams and rim board products make up our Wood Products Division. With the help of full technical support, the program offers builders and homeowners the benefit of a computer designed floor system. Benefits include dimension stability, design flexibility leading to more open spaces, ease of installation, and creative solutions to mechanical runs.

Stark Truss engineered I-Joists are made from lumber flanges, OSB webs and cured adhesive. The OSB we use comes from Norbord. The adhesives we use comes from Ashland and National Casein.

Stark Steel has been in the light gauge steel truss industry since 2003. Steel trusses provide the same span capabilities and design flexibility as wood trusses and can be used in almost any building project whether commercial, industrial, institutional, military, educational, or municipal. Stark Steel has three manufacturing facilities strategically located to best serve your specific project. These facilities are located in Canton, Ohio; Summerville, South Carolina; and Poplarville, Mississippi. Stark Steel is an authorized fabricator of Aegis Metal Framing components. The Aegis product is the most widely used pre-fabricated, cold formed steel truss product on the market. 100% recycled content assists in LEED accreditation.

Perma-Straight Columns are a partially treated, laminated post that is straighter, stronger and lighter than solid sawn treated posts. The laminating process ensures strength and dimensional stability, which means less waste and no-call outs giving you a lower installed cost. The bottom 6' to 8' is treated with a .60 CCA retention as required by the AWPA for permanent wood foundation structures. All posts are certified by the American Plywood Association and hold their Engineered Wood Systems trademark.

StarkLam is a manufactured product that replaces conventional headers and beams. Unlike beams built by nailing together multiple pieces of dimensional lumber, StarkLams are delivered to your site as a single unit, ready for installation. StarkLam is 3-1/2” wide to match typical wall sizes, eliminating the need for furring. Depths range from 9-1/4” to 18”.

Our wood stairs are pre-manufactured and offer easy installation. They also save time by eliminating carpenter labor. Stairs can be made from yellow pine, oak, poplar, and treated lumber and can be built to any specification. We have experienced technicians to assist you in figuring your stair dimensions.

Started with the intent of providing our employees winter work in the northern plants, our Special Products Division has made Stark Truss one of the largest picnic table suppliers in the country.
